Cheryl Gunness leads Edina Community Education’s Community Involvement team, working on projects where Edina Public Schools intersect with the broader community. She and her team create partnerships that connect people, places and opportunities in Edina; they create programs that are creative, experiential, collaborative and responsive to community needs. Program areas she oversees include PreK-Grade 12 enrichment classes and camps, Edina High School Service Letter, Community Volunteers, Adult Lifelong Learning, Edina Resource Center, and Community Engagement and Special Events. She is the lead organizer for TEDxEdina.

Cheryl holds a BA from Carleton College, an MA from the University of St. Thomas, and a PhD from The Ohio State University. She has two sons, one in the Luther College orchestra and one on the Gustavus Adolphus baseball team. She is a reader, a walker, and a lover of all textile/fiber arts.
